So I have to say this is the best forum EVER. Not only did I get a ton of information here, but I also met one of the members her for coffee, and not only did she answer all my questions and give me a real look at living with the sleeve, she has agreed to accompany me for my trip!!!That has put my mind at such ease. I am scheduled for March 1, 2013... YIKES... But I am ready....ready as I will ever be!!! Now to organize my life !!! LOL
If you have a BMI of over 35 and a co-morb (Sleep Apnea, High Blood Pressure, ect) you would qualify.
My BMI was not much higher than yours and I went through the program and got surgery, Please feel free to send me a msg if you want more information. I would not count out the program here yet, I think if cost is a concern, you could try before you pay out of pocket.
I was told I do not have enough health issues yet, I am borderline everything, so I do not qualify.. I do not want to get sick when I have the opportunity to take steps now. I have booked my surgery!! Excited !! Scared all at the same time.
My first appointment at the clinic was August 10, 2012. I met the surgeon on February 6, 2013 and was given my surgery date the same day.
