I just have really been slacking this past week and having ++ trouble tracking and I've had a few pepsi's this week..my ultimate weakness...I guess it's a mental thing for me...and all I can think about is losing my weight yet I'm not doing what I need to:-( thanks..J

hello  jessica   welcome to the form ,   i can tell you only what i experienced   ,    weight wise are awesome  they  help so much  with being  motivated ,   by the time you get your nurse appointment ,    you will also  do  modules which  i believe are the best  i ever taken  especially craving change  which is  the module  i  really enjoyed the most ,,  you will see a few people  before actually getting a surgery  date ,    but think of it this way ,  you perhaps will not wait  a full year  because  from what i heard they are moving patients along very  well ,     you work with them  do as they expect   and you will see the Surgeon faster then you expect ,  they have to make sure you are able to handle this life time    change really   so wanting the quick fix  dont always work  it may for some  but for some it dont ,      dont get discouraged   or frustrated for many of us on this form been thru the program is still in the program and  have no complaints about   things expected from them ,  the staff  at weight wise Edmonton are great ,   so with that said i do wish you  the best ,   remember always some here to help  if  you  need it  ...

Hi there! I am a newbie... I have been overweight since my early teens and am so sick and tired of my extra weight...I'm 322 pounds and exhausted! I'm new to the weight wise clinic in Edmonton... I hear it can take some time to get referred for surgery...I am desperate to lose the weight and have been trying for years on my own with a zillion failed diets. I am in my early thirties and desperate to have a child of my own..I've never tried I fear I'm way too heavy.I suffer from depression and major lethargy... I'm just looking to meet people and read advice etc. Thanks

You have to go to the Alberta Health site and hunt around for their out of country form. Print it out, get a receipt from your surgeon that is more detailed than his norm (the form will explain what you need), fill it in and mail it. I don't know if you need a note from your doctor here, but the form should say.

I believe it needs to be sent in within 3 months of your surgery.

Highest 303.4, Surgery 263, Current 217.8, Goal 180

So I have booked my surgery and getting ready for it now. I have heard you can claim certain things for the out-of-country surgery?/ Could someone help guide me with this and what forms I need etc?? Is this true? how soon do they have to be in?? Etc.
