You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
If he says no you do have another option. Your GP can refer you to a plastic surgeon. You just have to convince your GP that the skin is causing "issues."

I transferred them to containers and chucked the original containers, so they'd be in ziplocs, but if you can pick them up they're yours.

yeah! I cant find anything on what qualifies it as necessary. Ive seen posts by others who were not qualified for it by Dr Norh and others who were.... I really hope my extra tummy skin qualifies.... I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and wait for Thursday to get here!

Awesome - good luck! I just did a quick search through Alberta Health and it says that if the physician deems it necessary. Info was rather vague about it.
I'm 14 months post op, RNY, and going to Med Hat to see Dr Nohr this Thursday for my panni consult. Does anyone know what the 'rules" are to qualify for this through Alberta health care?

adhesions is what caused me as well to not get the rny they tried but after 3 hours of trying he made a medical choice and done a sleeve which im grateful for because he could of done nothing to be honest but i at least have a sleeve in order to have a rny it would have to be a open surgery and well that wouldnt be for years down the road now
8 years ago a got two surgeries and when they look inside they found a lot of scar tissues....they took 2h to took some away to have the room to do something...but after that they didn't had the time for the rny....
Thanks
