Hello,

I've recently moved to Fort McMurray and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a family doctor who they have had good experience with (I'm 1.5 years post op, no complications other than needing my gall bladder removed).

I know there is a website that shows doctors accepting new patients, but I like hearing recommendations (and am willing to go on a waiting list for a good doctor)

OMG - I have had one since surgery and the first day, I had such wicked cramps that I had to sit down because I felt like my body was going in to shock (bit sweaty and my daughter even commented on my white face).  I had a bit of cramping pre-surgery but I was still able to function.... not that day, I laid on the couch (after I managed to get out for some Tylenol) with a ho****er bottle!  I hope they aren't all going to be like that......  

I was a bit disappointed the last two times I weight....but today....youhou!!! 7lb gone in one week!!!

last time I was this heavy it's a bit over 7 years ago when I was pregnant with my second boy....

 It's so nice! The sun and the warm days are back....I'm still going at the pool everyday...tomorrow I'm starting Aqua fitness....

the next goal is the promise I made to a friend....At 100lb lost I'll go for a bike ride with her....my first one in 15 years.....

I'm sure enjoying the warm weather. I just went for my 6 month checkup. I'm feel great and down 105 lbs. Just a few

hiccups but overall has gone very smoothly. I'm off all my meds and just taking vitamins/supplements.

I talked to the surgeon about any upcoming foreseeable complications that may or may not happen and just wanted to see if anyone has had any? I'm not expecting anything and definitely hope nothing does but just trying to be aware of any symptoms to  be on the look out for.  

Has anyone had bowel obstructions or any other complications due to the RNY?
