Red Deer Orientation

I received my letter today for the Oct.21st orientation!!! I'm so excited, been waiting for this since May!

My husband will be making all the trips out there for the appointments with me (we live in Calgary), so it really helps calm the nerves/anxiety of going to a new place surrounded by people I don't know!

My referral was sent April 23rd

I am so excited for you. My referral was sent to Red Deer June 3rd....I check my mail box everyday...lol

Hi Simplycin, I noticed your referral went in at the beginning of June. Mine was sent in on June 22 of this year and waiting for my letter to arrive. I did find out that I was approved for the program.

Andream33...I got my Group Orientation letter in the mail today for November 26th in Red Deer so just over 4mos after approval.

I had my orintation in August and my husband also drives to Red Deer with me (also from Calgary) We usually stay the night before and come home the next day right after my appointment. You will be going to Red Deer once a month untill surgery, you will be meeting with a different Dr. / Specialist at each visit. I.E. nurse, dietition, psychologist, possibly surgeon, then dietition again and it repeats until surgery. Its very exciting. But I have to admit there are days when I question things speciially since I am on a 1256 cal diet and I get so darn hungrey...thats when I question things lol
