Hi Tara W., I am wondering how long did it take from your referral to different appointments to your surgery date?

My Doctor referred me in July last year. I joined the Evolution study which got me in for my orientation a little early. So I did Orientation in october and then my first nurse appointment november 8th. First Surgeon appointment Feb 3rd and we approved for surgery.

What is the evolution study?

It's a study the u of A is doing on obesity. They are no longer looking for participants though. I got a letter from the clinic that would have been my actual start time by mistake. I got the letter in February for an April orientation. So that's probably pretty close to the current wait time to hear from the clinic. 6-7 months from referral to letter
