Still waiting for first appt with clinic. Its a long wait!

I was referred to the clinic January 2013 and had my first appointment April 2013. I met with the nurse, who assessed me and referred me to the Nutritionist. Saw them for the next six months along with an appointment with a psychologist, and an intern, *****ferred me to the the surgeon. I was approved November 2013 for surgery and had surgery September 30, 2014.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for your reply.  During your wait time did you take part in any of the educational weight clinics offered? I received my official note stating my referral was received And it stated to begin food journal, classes, keep track with a pedometer etc. if so how did you find the classes?

Yes, I attended all the classes offered through Weight Wise community team, I log and journal in my fitness pal, everyday still.

I found the classes very helpful and would recommend them to anyone, not just weight wise patients. The approach is one change at a time, and eventually you make all the changes you need to. I really liked the Craving Change series, which gives you tools on how to avoid emotional eating.
