Trying to decide between Sleeve or Bypass

Hi Everyone, 

I am about to have my second appt with the surgeon on Tuesday and I am having a hard time deciding if I want the Sleeve or the Bypass. I would love your opinions or experience on these. 

I am 10 days post sleeve and am having a great recovery so far.  What I like about the sleeve is that it keeps your stomach intact. Narrower but intact. Meaning if I needed a scope in the future, it can be done. Less malabsorption issues, too. No problems swallowing pills either. I have 100 lbs to lose and it seemed like the least invasive option to me. I think it boasts a 70-80% EWL in the first year.

Also, i was in on a Wed, out Fri at noon.  These were my reasons for doing it. Good luck with making your decision. You may also want to pose your question on the main VSG board on OH, might get a fair number of responses.

I choose the bypass because I had 200 pounds to loose and I needed to loose the weight as fast as I could.  I had some other health concerns and all of my doctor told me that if I lost the weight the health problems would go away and they have.  I am really happy with my choice.  I am currently down 200 pounds and hoping to loose a couple more pounds to be at my goal weight.  But surgery was the best decision I have ever made
