Yes I had one done by Dr. de Gara 2 weeks ago. Went just fine. Stayed in the hospital 1 day. Just had my second drain tube taken out today.

I'm very happy with the results. On my pic list on my profile you can see a before and after pic just taken 5 days after surgery.

Do u have pics that shows what bare belly looked like before and after? I think I have too much loose sling above belly button.

Hi there

I, too, had a panni done by Dr. de Gara.  It was done the end of February so I'm coming up on five weeks.  I'm quite excited to see how everything is healing nicely.  Being older, I was in hospital for three days rather than the two he'd suggested.  As for loose skin above your waist, the panni does little, if anything, to address that.  Dr. de Gara did, however, move my belly button after removing the excess skin and pulling down what was there.  I had to get new undergarments (it was past time to do so) and I realized that there is still quite a lot of excess skin.  I'm unsure what the procedure is that addresses this but I don't believe it would be a tummy tuck.  My understanding of the difference between a panni and a tummy tuck has to do with tightening stomach muscles or not.  Hope this helps a little.

Very best wishes for whichever procedure you choose to get!

I'm sorry but I don't feel comfortable posting my bare skin belly pic. I do have a before and after pic which shows what my stomach looks like a week after. Its under my photos and my 2 photos are reversed...after and before...but it gives you the idea. My belly button is lower so I think he stretched the skin downwards a bit. Go for a consult and share your concerns with him. I'm sure he can answer your questions.

There should be no fees for the panni removal.  They are covered by AHS.
