Hi Everyone,

I'm home from the hospital. My surgery went awesome and everything went great. It was way easier than my rny. I only stayed 1 day in hospital and then they said I was good to go.

I do have a binder on(like a girdle) and will have to keep it on for 3 to 4 weeks. I know after a few weeks I will be itching to get it off.  Overall I have minimal pain and I'm very pleased with the results. Will post before and after pics after the incision heals a bit.

Cheers.

Stephanie

Just got my panni done leaving hospital today, drain out. Dr said wear binder if u like. He doesn't feel it makes much of a difference other than your own support. Staples out 2 weeks from surgery date. It's curious why all doctors opinions can be so different.

I wore my binder for 2 weeks...it did give great support. I then work my spanx for another 2 weeks just to give a little added support. I stopped after 4 weeks and I feel great and the swelling is minimal.

I haven't started any abdomin exercises yet and will probaly wait till 6 weeks but that is my own doing. I feel great and my stomach looks great.

That's awesome! I can't wait :) the nurse said i have the nicest cleanest incision she has ever seen. So that is something! I'm very thankful to be a speedy healer.

1. Rent or borrow a walker, it is hard to stand up and walk for a week or so

2. Sleep in a recliner

3. Rest most of the time while healing, let others help you

4. Put pads under you when sleeping in case of blood leaking from an incision

5. Wear a stage 2 binder for the first few months
