Mexico what to bring!

I am having my surgery in Mexico (finally), and am wondering what others brought with them for their trip and what maybe they forgot or wished that they had brought.

Lip Chap and a heating blanket :) Which surgeon are you using? I just returned I am 9 days post op today. Great experience.

I had my VSG done in Mexicali and traveled with my hubby, daughter and a girlfriend when they each had theirs done. A few of the things I found the most helpful are a bit different.

Small electric kettle & herbal tea bags, broth powder packets, instant oatmeal and instant bean soups for your support person.
Extension cord

For yourself:
Usual prescription meds
GasX strips
Lip balm
Crysal light packets
2 sets of 2-piece jammies
Slippers you can slide your feet into
2-3 pairs of diabetic socks (comfy and super easy for your career to put on you)
Loose bathrobe
Easy entertainment (iPad, audiobooks, ipod, earbuds)
Toothbrush & paste
Shampoo, hairbrush, moisturiser
Makeup if you wear it
Fresh unders for the trip home (wear what you traveled down in)
A few family pictures/stuffy
Nice thank you card for the nursing staff
