The good the bad and the ugly

I wanted to be least intrusive with my body and requested the lap band. However Alberta health services is not fond of them and doing it less as they are not overly successful and far too many problems. I'm now thinking about the sleeve. I want the to hear from you folks the good, bad and ugly and is there anyone who has regrets? TIA.
I dont recommend the band as there are just too many horror stories out there about things going wrong, the band sliping, having to be removed, ect. And on top of all that you have to go in for regular fills, just seems like a lot of hassle and I have heard that even when nothing goes wrong they still dont have great weight loss statistics. If you don't have massive amounts of weight to lose most people say to go with the sleeve, although it has negative as well, and is not recommended if you already have acid reflux as this will make it even worse.
If you want a more indepth answer I would try posting on the VSG page.
