Hello Everyone. Tomorrow is my 1 year surgiversary. Yea....just about 160 lbs lost.

The last week I have been having cramps on and off. They last for about 2 to 3 hours and it has happen all times of the day

including in the middle of the night. I went to the emerg last friday night because the nurses at the weight wise clinic said I should. X-ray's and blood work came out normal. I was symptom free for 3 days over the weekend and monday. Then yesterday

it happened again. The abdominal cramps happen mostly in my left quadrant and can radiate all over my stomach.

Has anyone had symptoms like this before? I'm having pretty regular BM's and I'm not eating anything different.

I do have an appt tomorrow for my 1 year check up in Edmonton and the nurses are checking with doctor about doing

some tests while I'm in there but I'm starting to get concerned. You'd think after a year everything would be healed fine. It may not be related to my gastric bypass.

Any common symptoms for others out there?

I have nothing to offer but will say a prayer for you.  Please keep us posted on what the docs say.

We are all different but I was 26 months out from sleeve surgery when I started to have complications. I had a bowel obstruction, but in all honesty I was confused as to why I would have all this pain in my left side cause I thought that I was using the bathroom normally but when they did the xr-ay I was literally blocked up to my stomach. Ct scan, ng tube and surgery followed in the 5 days after being admitted into the hospital. LIke I said we are all different but be mindful of your symptoms and don't let things go.

Hope you feel better soon.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't.  Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened.  My Surgery was September 21/2010

Have you ever had your gall bladder out? Something to think about because of the significant weight loss. Also maybe a bowl obstruction? Just some thoughts.

Just wondering how you are feeling and if you were able to get anything done to help pin point what your problem is?

Kee,

Hi Kee,

The doctor didn't seem too concerned but he's sending me out for a CT scan just to rule out diverticulitis. I haven't had any more cramping except for bit yesterday. I thought it might be constipation but now I'm thinking it might be food related....I'm trying to narrow it down food wise cause it seems like it might be extreme gas from something I'm eating.

Thanks for asking.
