My family doctor just takes care of my labs and follow up care. I had my Rny in Medicine Hat, and am from Calgary. Did you ask your family doctor ?

My family doctor does what little aftercare I need. When I had my surgery in Mexicali I talked to my GP first to make sure he had my back. He was worried that I'd be in pain on the way home, so prescribed Tylenol 3 (100 of them!) which I never used because by the time I was discharged from hospital I had no pain at all.

I developed a low grade UTI at about a month out, (drink your water!) which he caught and prescribed antibiotics for, but other than ticking a few extra places when running routine labs I've needed no other extra care at all.

Why have you decided to go to Mexico as opposed to having it at the Weight Wise clinic?  I am just curious.

Because its cheaper and I don't have to wait 4 years

Covered by AB health care = free. Not sure how you can get cheaper than that.
And four years?? I haven't heard of a wait like that since mid 2000's. not saying it doesn't happen, but 12-18 months (or less) seems to be the norm now

I recommend just making an appointment with your regular doctor and discuss after care with them. Most likely they wont mind giving you your regular labs and if they do they can prob refer you to someone who will do it.

As for the weight time, here is the blog of 2 sisters who are in the program in Red Deer.
