Going for my panni consult this coming Thursday
My appointment went really really well! First off his receptionist Joanne complimented me saying "your before and afters must be amazing!" then dr Nohr told me I'm a very good rule follower, haha. Umm, oh about my lower iron (not anemic) he said that is very common, and to just keep taking my supplements. I asked what size my pouch was, and how much intestine was bypassed. My pouch was around 20 to 25mm (or cc), and small intestine bypassed was 100 cm, (or 3 feet 3 inches), for my skin removal, he said what he will do on my 'small frame' for best results that I am looking for is cut 2 triangles on either side and pull together to meet in middle, and cut hip to hip, and leave my belly button on an island. He said while he has me opened he will tighten my stomach muscles. He said by doing it this way it will give me nice contouring, and a perfectly flat belly! Yay! He booked me in for May 16, but I have to make sure I can get some time off work first for this. But if all works out, it will be done in 6 weeks! He said its lots of staples, and oozing, and painful while healing, but risk of infection is very low. I'll just have to mentally suck it up, and remember the pain is temporary, and once healed up be grateful to have that skin gone!

Just phone for a consult and I bet you will get an appointment in 4-6 weeks if not less. Summer is coming and this is when his holidays and such come in to play, so it could take longer. After he takes a look at you and approves you, he opens up his OR schedule on his computer and you pick a date together. I could have had one 4 weeks later if I had wanted. But I was looking to time things for when the kids are off of school.
With me, Dr. Nohr said he'd do the anchor cut (breastbone down and hip to hip, around the belly button). Like a Fleur-de-Lis. Also muscle tightening. I think it depends on your shape under the hangy skin, and how much skin there is to remove. Lots of staples (200 plus) which sort of scares me. I worry a bit about incision healing and removing those darn staples! But I know if I don't do this surgery, I will regret it down the road.
