staircase weight loss?

Lately I have been noticing I will stop losing weight for a couple of days even though I have been excising regular and eating healthy. Then after 3 days or so I will lose a couple pounds in a couple of days. It kinda like a staircase where you take a step(lose weight) and then wait to take another step(no weight loss). Has anyone ever experienced this? At the end of the week I do lose an average of 2 to 3 lbs. Its just not a daily decrease. At first it was a bit frustrating but now I'm used to it and it doesn't stress me out like it did at first.

I know that my weight loss will decrease as you get closer to your goal weight. Just wondering what it was like for others.

Thanks

We have all been there. That is one of the reason why the clinic stresses not to be weighing yourself everyday. Even with weight loss surgery you can still have weigh fluctuations and actually even gain. Some of those gains may be water retention or due to hormones but it can still happen.

I  am now 28 months out from surgery and have to be very careful with my food choices and stick to a very low calorie diet or I will gain. I've been blessed to have had the surgery and lose the weight I have but I also work my butt off to keep the weight off. I was told to stop losing when I was in the 180 range and that didn't happen so now I have to work a little hard to not have rebound weight gain that the clinic preaches about. Definitely all worth it in the end.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't.  Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened.  My Surgery was September 21/2010

Yes I need to stop weighing myself everyday....its just so tempting to see how I'm doing.

Glad to know others have the same sort of weight loss. Thanks for your input and advice.

I really appreciate it.
