how much weight is too much to gain before surgery?
My surgery is Dec 5th....ive been painfully stable with my weight, fluctuating about 3lbs...i always gain about 5 during the week leading up to my period. My birth control comes out 2 days after surgery, therefore my "pms" week will fall right before surgery and without a fail i know i'll be up those few pounds....will they understand that? or will it cause them to cancel surgery?
I'm terrified that it will :(
You will be fine, if you have been stable for along time they will not care that much.
A lot of things make you gain, be sure to talk to them and you should not have a problem.
Looks like you are almost there, I can tell you be sure to stay active right up to the day of your surgery, it helps a lot in recovery.
awesome thanks....
i've been keeping up with my elliptical...hopefully that helps...i'm busy busy right up literally until the day we leave for edmonton...we're planning on going to the telus world of science after my PAC day and weigh in days... so lots of walking in there...might even take our swim suits and go before the big day...
It might be different now but when I had my surgery I was told that there was a zero tolerance for weight gain and that my surgery would be canceled if on my final weigh in day I was up. I was so scared and stress and because I didn't have to do a liquid diet I only had 2 days notice for my pre-admission and 5 days for surgery. Lucky for me I was down but seriously I would call the clinic and talk to them.
Good Luck.
Kee.
