So for the last couple weeks i have been having some problems with my lower back. My mother in law suggested a chiropractor. I have never been to one, and i don't know who else to ask this question. Can the obese see a chiropractor? Any one here in the forum go to one that they would recommend in the south Edmonton/leduc area? Are there any special concerns i should have regarding my size and seeing a chiropractor?
Thanks

At my heaviest I was seeing a chiropractor and still do to this day. Now that I've lost all this weight I don't have to go as often but sometimes now my tail bone will go out of place and he fixes it. It sometimes takes a few visit to get everything put back in place but I'd day go and give it a try.  If you are really concerned you could explain when you are booking your appointment that you are overweight and ask if he has deal with patients with weight issues before. I know my first visit when I laid on the table before he touched me I jumped back up and asked him if he had every lost someone off the table when he was adjusting them and he told me very kindly to relax and breath, he had men twice my size and never had any problems.

Good Luck,

Kee.
