Getting my life back

 Hi everyone.  I'm in Calgary but going out of country for sleeve surgery on October 15th. Joined a few days ago and tried posting then, but my post not have made it through initial approval!  Hoping this one makes it because I'd love to connect with my Alberta community.  

It seems that there is quite a lot of support in Edmonton, but is there anything going on in Calgary that I might be able to participate in?  Doesn't matter if its formal or informal - just want to be part of the wls community!

 Hey Missyshy - it's really good to know you are here.  Hope your recovery is going well and that you are not having too much trouble adjusting to the sleeve. 

Your so not alone!  My recovery is going great,  I am doing really good with my sleeve.  I'm far enough along now (just 4 weeks now) that I'm getting the hang of it,  the first few weeks were tricky, the liquid diet sucks lol...  But I'm starting to feel comfortable in my body with all the changes and now I'm just sticking with the program and day by day.  Your going to love your sleeve!!  But when you need a place to vent don't hesitate to write!

I had my sleeve done in Mexicali on June 26th. Best decision and investment I've ever made!

hi There! I'm just outside of Calgary, had the mini gastric bypass in the US, January 2011 :)

Hi, I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday 5/23/16 with Dr Ponce DeLeon. I'm a little nervous. Do you have any advice for me?

Congrats on your upcoming surgery date!  You will be in excellent hands with Dr Ponce and his team. He is one of the best surgeons in Mexico so while it's easier said than done, you really don't have to worry about a thing!  All the best
