Frustrated with WW Edmonton
With that being said I would recommend that you keep doing what you are doing and not stress out over the wait times. You are moving in the right direction and that's what matters most. Don't let this affect your motivating cause one you are approved and on the wait list for surgery you will need that motivation more than ever to keep you losing weight or maintaining or then it's a whole new ball game of stress. They can and will cancel surgery if you don't continue to follow there program and guild line.
Venting is good and like I said we have all been frustrated at some point and that's why we are here, to support, encourage and lend an ear.
Good Luck.
Kee.

Gall Bladder surgery April 12,2012
You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
When I started at the clinic (Refferal Oct 2011) It seemed like it was so long, I flew through my classes and first rounds of appointments. I was approved for Surgery in April of this year and only today do I have the date.
I can be frustrating, but I look at it this way, they are trying to help so many people and on some limited resources, the wait times have come down from 3 years to around 1 year and from what I read they are trying to make them even better.
When we think about how long it has taken ust to get to the point of need the surgery, on year is not that long and I have been very happy with the time to adjust my lifestyle to match what will be needed after surger.
Keep your head up, it will be time before you know it.
You are so right! I waited 2 years in Nova Scotia to get to see someone then I finally moved to Edmonton to see if I could get some help and I was called for my first assessment in November 2011. It wasn't until August that I had a surgery date and just had the surgery 3 weeks ago. The time waiting was frustrating but I used it to adapt my lifestyle and work out some emotional issues that would have sabotaged me if I didn't do the work. The psych counseling and the WW classes were a great help to me and though at times I wondered if I would ever get the surgery, I'm grateful for the time and it does go by.
i so understand how you feel to be honest im almost 5 yrs from back in nova scotia as well i moved to grand cache and decided to work back at it again in hopes this time i would see chance to even speak to someone since back home all i did was with my doctor and myself ,,,,,, so many people like us back in nova scotia waiting for years so this month i finally get to send my referal for surgery something i am so excited about it gives me such great hope ,,,,,,,,,,,,, people really have to stick it out work out the problems that cause you to become obese i know the weight wise modules really are a eye opener to why sometimes i personally eat the way i do ,,,,,,,, i hope many more people commit to these modules because they are a great source in getting started to a better lifestyle ,,,,,,,,,,, anyways its nice to see another person from nova scotia up in alberta
