How long is everyone waiting for surgery in Edmonton

Just wondering how long everyone is waitng for surgery in Edmonton WW
Wondering it took from getting referred to surgeon until you actually saw him?
Wondering once you saw the surgeon what time frame did they give you for a surgery date?

Mostly wondering about the people who just saw the surgeon recently

I see Dr Modi next week for the third time and suppose to be referred to surgeon after that

 Hi there!

I can't remember exactly how long it took to have my meeting with the surgeon - I want to say it was a few weeks, but I am not positive.  I do know, however, that when I did finally see him (well, it was actually his intern..) I was told that surgery would be 2-6 weeks from that day.  And I believe that day was in late April.

... so I waited.  And I waited.  Then waited some more.. 

In June I finally called with an inquiry because I'd heard absolutely nothing.  I was told at that point that surgery would likely not be until well after summer.  Kind of annoying, but at that point, there was not much to be done.  

I continued to wait.  Haha.

Finally at the beginning of July I called again because I'd still heard no mention of a date - I was beginning to think that I'd been overlooked or something.  I was told that I was #10 on the wait list and that it likely meant surgery would be in late August or early September. 

At that point I was happy to at least have a ballpark figure. 

Fast forward to August 31st when I finally recieve my surgery call - and the official date is...

OCTOBER 16th.  lol.  

From seeing my surgeon to surgery date was almost SIX months! 

I have heard that other people had faster progress - but I tell you all of this so that you can prepare for a drawn out process if yours decides to be one.  :)
