Thats great news glad they are taking good care of you!  Thanks for the tip about the ensure i may try freezing them after a week or so id say i'll need something different to help me get thru.  I have to do 3 weeks i wi**** was only 2.  But im so excited, scared and nervous.

I love hearing about your experiences  i'll definately watch out for the cough syrup and keep my drinking half an hour before or after my meal.  I hope I dont experience dumping syndrome.

After your surgery did anyone go over the pills you have to take after your 2 week liquid diet?  I dont remember all of them that they went over in the information session.  I remember materna but thats the only one i remember.

Have you had much pain from surgery? Are you very mobile? Hope you are doing well and I wish you a speedy recovery!!  Take care

I ain't gonna lie!.... the first 3 days were very painful.  Getting up and down from bed was extremely sore.  But again, I had developed an infection so don't know if I was just extra sensitive or what.  Two weeks + after and I am almost pain free. Home care has to come in and clean my "wound" every day so that is a bit painful but looking back over the last few weeks, I can say that I feel 90% better. I was even dancing a little bit in the kitchen this morning with my sister so things must be looking up!!  I am starting to sleep on my side again pain free too so getting lots of rest.  I am finding it a bit of a struggle to keep hydrated and eating but I'm sure that will come.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.  I may not have the answers but it feels good just to know that someone else out there is experiencing or will experience what I've gone through.  Weight-wise,of course I've lost weight.  I came home  3 days after the surgery and weighed 12 lbs heavier than my pre-surgery weight.  Yikes!!!!  Apparently though it was from IV's and water retention.  That was a bummber but that weight has now gone away and I'm actually now down 10 lbs. from my pre-surgery weight (so actually 22 lbs. post-surgery??).   I see light at the end of the tunnel now and I just can't wait to get up and at it as far as getting back into my exercise routine.
