Pre Surgery Calgary Date booked, support needed

How are so many of the Calgary patience doing the sleeve surgery and the lap band doing out of country and are you self paying for the surgery? Are they not covered by AHS if you meet the criteria. Anyone in Calgary wanting to do the bypass surgery and where are you being referred to. I have read here that in Calgary only the sleeve and the band are offered.

So I could have gone through ahc but I was anxious to get it done! My schedule is hectic and for me self paying and going on a specific day was what worked best for me.   I had my surgery in Tijuana and was home again within a time frame that worked for me.
