Surgery Postponed

Because of a fire in the Calgary Shaw Building yesterday all the Alberta Health Services Systems are down and they informed me this afternoon that my surgery for tomorrow has been postponed.  I'm so bummed, mostly because I just wanted to get this part over and done with and partly because the thought of doing the liquid ensure diet again (never mind the cost of having to purchase it again ugh) makes my stomach turn.

Sorry, just needed to vent..........hoping no one else suffers a similar fate.

Maybe your doc can write you an RX so that your insurance company can cover the cost of the Ensure? 
theres lots of coupons out there for it too, and you can stack at London Drugs and Save on Foods...that stinks hun :(

The Fire happened yesterday as I was getting ready to check out of the hospital and you could hear over the intercom that they were calling immergency meetings left and right. I didn't know what was happeneing until I got home. Did they say when you would be rescheduled for?
I don't know what part of town you live in but I have TONS of leftover Ensure if you want I can give it to you for cheap.
Sorry about them rescheduling your surgery but it will happen eventually~

Hadn't thought about getting a prescription for the ensure, I may look into that! 

Kellie - I'm thrilled you got surgery and hope you start feeling better soon!  If you're willing to sell the ensure, I would be more than willing to take it off your hands!  PM me and we can work out the details depending on where you are in the city.

I have a new date of August 14, 2012, so Lord willing nothing will happen and we'll get er done!

I actually just took it back to Superstore yesterday since I figured they had went ahead with the surgery after all.
I am so glad that you have a date though, and I am praying everything goes okay. Hopefully no other catastrophes happen in between now and then. Look forward to seeing you at the support groups!
