  Morning all ,

I'm a 16 year Canadian Forces member who  has chosen to go ahead with WLS, after multipible deployments in Afghan, Dubai UAE and Haiti I'm finally in a static posting and am ready to make this change in my life. I'm wondering if any pre or post op Mil mbrs can share there experence and there timeframe.

I'm seriously considering self pay.

Any help would be great

Cheers

Self pay is great for the time restriction...but for everything else...before/after care, bloodwork follow ups, questions, dietician etc etc etc  local is better.

Maybe you can get in to the closest clinic to you and get the ball rolling...even if during that time frame you decide to do self pay...the more info your armed with the better before going in I believe.  I'm goign through the weight wise program in Edmonton. But i've had friends go to Mexico and the amount of after care they dont receive is scary....a friend of mine just found out shes really deficiant in a lot of vitamins that routine bloodwork here would have caught, and because of yoru stomach being so much smaller after, its hard to get caught up on those vits.
Do what you n eed to do for you, but go into it prepared as you can be!
