Just curious! will they.....
I am wondering. If the surgeon goes in with the laparoscopic procedure and is unable to do the surgery that way will they then open you up traditionally to complete the surgery or will they just close you up and try again at a later date?
Can you request that they just open you up if this should happen?
Please let me know if you have any advice or personal experience with this.
Thanks!

The only way you can know for sure if that might happen to you is to check with your own surgeon. Since it's concerning you, why not call his office directly first thing Monday morning? I'm sure someone there would have an idea of what his general practice is.
That said, bariatric surgery is being done laparoscopically on people much larger people than you every day.
