Edmonton Bariatric Surgery

Hi all,

I just moved back to the Edmonton area after 5 years of living in the States.  I am curious as to how the doctors in the area feel about weight loss surgery?  Are they very supportive, did you have a hard time getting a referral from them for the program?  My doctor in the States expressed that I needed to have the surgery, but my insurance down there wouldn't pay for it even though he felt it was medically necessary.  Anyway,  I was just wondering what I would be facing if I went to a family doctor here and general attitude from the doctors about WLS.

 The doctors i've found have been great
 The Edmonton Weight Wise system has been wonderful too
