I pre-op right now, due for surgery by summer

I'm in GP! Well Sexsmith actually but close enough! I have been on the wait list with Dr Amson in Victoria for about 5 years now. I actually just came across this site while doing a search for the mini gastric bypass. At this point I will gladly pay for the surgurey (within reason.) A big question I have is on wait times at the Red Deer clinic and weather or not it's private pay or covered by AB Health? Let me know if you would like to get together for coffee and chat!

would love to get together...actually a friend of mine who's had her surgery already (RNY) and i have been talking about starting a GP area support group maybe.
I'm pre op, found out this morning actually that Dr Birch in Edmonton will most likely be my surgeon.

I'm through the Edmonton Weight Wise clinic, Alberta Gov't paid...the wait has been about a year and a half (from paperwork being submitted to surgery date) and 6-7 months from my first clinic visit i'll be in for surgery...

We started a private facebook group, very early stages right now...but if anyone is interested in joining just private messag me here...you have to be a "friend" before i can add you because its private...but we can unfriend right after its ok :P

For Grande Prairie and area mostly...due to clothing exchanges and get togethers etc...

Im from Grande Prairie too. My surgery is booked for May 21, I'm having the sleeve done down in Mexico which means I am paying for this myself. Getting nervous but also excited its getting so close.
