Dr. Davies... surgery for sleeve, excited.

I'm so excited, Dr. Davies said he's booking my surgery date.  Should be in 6-8 weeks, was so not expecting this, thought I'd have to go through the Weight Wise Clinic in Edmonton but being from Bonnyville I guess not.  I thought Id have 1-2 yr wait still.  Has anyone done surgery with Dr. Davie and had the sleeve.  How was the recovery, it's all laproscopic now so happy for that. 

I had my surgery with Dr. Davey 3 years ago...I had the gastric bypass and most recently with Dr. Davey the Panni surgery in Bonnyville.  I live in Cold Lake and also did not go through the weight wise clinic in Edmonton.  I had to keep a journal, see him monthly and also see the dietician on a regular basis.

My gastric bypass is a bit different than the sleeve, I don't know what your restrictions would be, mine were quite extensive.  To date I have lost 150 lbs.  and have maintained my weight loss for approx. 2 years.

Good to hear Rhonda, any regrets?  My mom had the bypass, done I'm so glad the sleeve is availbable, I think same restrictions, but you don't lose the nutrients from your foods because your not bypassing any intestines.  No dumping syndrome either.  Did he have a good follow up program? 
So he also does the panni, was recovery hard?
