Glad to hear you are doing so well! I posted about a few good books here .... Just look back a few days to " Books"... Also on these boards I have found some really good blogs that have some great recipe sections ..."The world According to Eggface", and others.....each blog has many links posted ....sometimes I spend way too much time chasing these links, but I have found some great recipes and ideas ....I will be having surgery March 20/12. How are you doing so far?

thanks for the info. I have had mostly ups and just a few down days since my surgery. I thought it would be harder to manage eating, but I am not finding that. I just need to eat slow and chew, chew, chew. My problem is that after 30 days of liquids, I am now trying to decide what solids to eat. Everything seems to have changed with my taste buds. I don't want to get stuck in a rut eating the same thing everyday, because I will grow weary of that fast. Trying to get in my protein is a challenge, but I have several peers that have been through this as well as this site that has really helped me. Your surgery is coming up real soon, best of luck. Keep us posted.

There are so many alternate proteins...tofu, cheese, eggs, yoghurt, protein shakes, fish.... I remember craving fish 3 weeks out and ate imitation crab and salmon for days (as I could only eat about 2 tbsp food). I also remember eating Silverado canned chili (it had the least fat, sugar, etc)
There are so many things you can do with tofu.... blend into a shake; make a pudding, soak it in thai Sweet chili sauce or curry sauces.
There are so many wls friendly websites with lots of food options; find some favourite sites and use them.
