My husband underwent surgery in Mexico in May/11.  I dutifully kept an envelope with all receipts & a copy of the VISA statement to show the amounts incurred in Canadian dollars.  I have spoken to my tax professional & he advised these expenses were a medical tax deduction.  Have just recently submitted all documents to accountant for calculations!  Will let you know how it all works out

Hi, just wondering how this turned out with the cra. We're you able to get anything back? I'm also wondering what percentage if it worked.
Thanks!
