Hi,
I had my Lap RNY with Dr Nohr in Medicine Hat on November 9, 2009. I went from 255 lb to my current 137 - 140 lbs. I am scheduled to have my Panni done on March 27th. (with Dr Nohr)
I am very excited and very nervous at the same time. I would love to hear from anyone who has had this surgery with Dr Nohr. Would love to hear about your experience (good and bad).
I live north of Lethbridge so it kind of sucks to have to go to Medicine Hat for the surgery because it means I will be all by my lonesome. I do have to say though that the hospital in Medicine Hat is a far nicer hospital than the one in Lethbridge. (cleaner, friendlier staff )
Anyhoo, I look forward to any replies.

Thanks a bunch

Jewlz

Hi - I would love to know this info as well.  I still have a ways to go before I even consider getting the panni done.  I live in Lethbridge as well.  I also really liked the Medicine Hat Hospital.

Wow  it is a small world. I live in Barons actually. I usually just tell people Lethbridge because an amazing amount os people don't know where Barons is.
I originally didn't think I would want the Panni either but I need it and since it's covered bt AHC I figure Why not. It helps that I have short term dissability coverage too. Without that I'm not sure I would be able to take the time off work.

Well I sure hope someone comes forward with their experiences..20 more sleeps!

Hi there, Congratulations on attaining your goal!!!  I had open RNY with Dr. Nohr Nov/2007, lost 174 lbs the underwent panni with Dr. Nohr Nov/2008.  I am extremely overjoyed at the outcome of the surgery, even with the scars!  I turnede 50 last fall & when we went on vacation to the Dominican in Jan of this year, I wore a bikini for the 1st time ever in my life!!!  The only thing I would ever change is to have undergone all of this about 20 years sooner!!!  Good luck .

Thank you for your reply. It makes me feel a lot better. I am getting super nervous. Not so much about the surgery itself but the recovery. I see a lot of pain in my near future. Only 3 more sleeps! Yikes!
