jeans shopping

I need help. Is there a "regular size" store that fits different body shapes? small waist, big thighs and bum? and what size is next, i'm a 14 at penningtons, finding the regular too long now and the petite too short.

Tried some stores 18, way too big 16, not going over the thighs, just sitting at a frustrating bottoms size right now.
Still feeling a little to intimidated to ask for help in a reg size store with tiny sales people!!
I know a few of you have already been through this so i was hoping maybe you have some new favorite stores!!
I will miss penningtons and additon elle, you know your size and styles, its comforting...but at the x top and 14 bottom... its time

Thanks guys

Try Ricki's, they have a variety of styles and fits and their 'plus sizes' are smaller than AE and Penningtons.  So you'll probably find something nice in their size 14/16 range or smaller. :)

I went to Edm Goodwill and Value Village and tried on stacks of slacks (for work) and jeans for what seemed like hours. They have a variety of sizes and styles from all different stores of origin. I FINALLY narrowed it down for my self that I know I can go to Cleo's and buy a 12 petite or to Mark's and buy Denver Hayes. Both work for my shape. Found going to the used store helped me figure it all out so now I know where I can go!!! I'm in the same boat as you and find myself ALMOST (but not really) missing Additionelle and Pennington's...........Am really enjoying exploring the new me though (and the new stores and variety!!!) Good luck and enjoy the journey!!

Old Navy was a great fit for me. I've never had to worry about the legs of jeans other than the length but I found they come in a variety of shapes and they are super comfie. Right now they have a sale on where jeans are $19 and that enough to pay when you are still losing.
Since losing weight I tend to shop at Aeropostal, Ricki's, AE and Old Navy. Starting to venture more into stores I wouldn't normally go but haven't bought anything in Fcuk or H&M Yet, Bench is great too but I would rather wait until until my weight is more stable and after plastic to pay that much for clothing.
Good Luck Girl.

After having my plastics done I have a funny shape and I have issues finding the right fit for jeans, I used to be able to fit well into Old Navy, now not so much.  I have discovered Reitmans fits me best... size 10 waist and size 12-14 ish thighs ugh.  At least Reitmans has a plus section and a regular section so you can try on both.

Your other option is to get the bigger size that fits your thighs and have the waist taken in, its more expensive that way but at least they look like they should when you're wearing them.

Good luck!

I don't think Reitmans was mentioned.  Same company as penningtons and addition elle but for "normal" sizes.  I hover at the lowest end of AE for sizing and find that rietmans has stuff that works well.  Also, most locations have a plus size section which is perfect if you are in between

What exactly is a 'normal size'...hmmm...reitmans goes to a size 17 xxl on the so called normal side....i buy my jeans in a boutique, size 14, boot cut....they are expensive, but the best fit.  I find reitmans not sized right for me..   I still have larger thighs and need that extra room....Warehouse One did not work for me..slim fit and low rise everything....

I love shopping, so going into all the different stores is fun...Love Love Old navy !!

Good luck !!
