Starting modules... very excited!!
Hi all;
So I guess my journey has just begun :) I received my referral on Feburary 8th and am starting modules in 2 weeks!
I have a question for people from Fort McMurray, how do you find the travelling back and forth to Edmonton?
My module dates are as follows:
Module 1 - Mar 5
Module 2 - Mar 7
Module 3 - Mar 13
Module 4 - Mar 22
Module 5 - Mar 12
Module 6 - Apr 5
Module 7 - Feb 27
Module 8 - Mar 12 & 19
Module 9 - MAR 20, 27 & Apr 10.
Maybe I will see some of you there who knows!
Any advice or words of wisedom from any of you is more than appreciated.
Have a great day everyone.
The travelling might be a pain in the backside but the rewards in the end will hugh. I've travelled from another part of Alberta for almost 2 years and didn't and still don't regret it. The clinic is also great about booking your appointment together when they know you are from out of town.
Good Luck.
Kee.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
Thank you.
I need it... if not I'm going to die young and I am SO not ready for that. I have tried this on my own trust me this was my last resort I have done ideal protein within the last year and lost 90lbs but once I stopped starving myself and started eating normally again weight came back but not all of it thank goodness.
I currently keep a food/work out journal and use a pedometer I wonder if they would be interested in seeing what I have been doing before I started weightwise?
Thank you so much for the advice it is greatly appreciated. Good luck on your journey =)) what biatric surgery did you have?

As I am new to this as well ....I obviously dont have all the answers however, my friend went through the program last year ....start to finish in less than 8 months. After talking with different staff members it really seems that it all depends on the individual. They want to make sure you are physically and emotionally ready for the surgery. From what a few of them told me it is on average between 6-12 months from your first visit at the clinic.. They said it is totally reasonable to expect about a year start to finish. Maybe shorter
Good luck!
