I am wondering if I might ask members here to give me a good list of what foods, equipment , etc i will need post surgery.    I will have a date quite soon. Thank you so much for your help

Hi BJ,

Here are some things to have handy around the house for after your surgery.
Greek yogurt, sf jello, sf pudding, sf popcicles, low sodium cream soups, skim/1% milk, skim milk powder, maybe some diabetic meal replacements like Boost.
I also had some Beneprotein powder to help me get the most protein in.  It mixes well with the soups, pudding and yogurt.  You could also invest in a protein powder but can wait a few weeks until you get in a routine and see if you are getting your protein in.
Baby spoons are a good idea to help you take smaller bites.
Good luck.

I am in the Weight Wise program in Edmonton. I will have a surgery date soon.  It's been a fantastic journey so far...

You can also add powdered milk to any of your puddings, cream soups and yogurts for the extra protein boost!  Put extra in your coffee/tea, oatmeal, cream of wheat...etc.

I had little medcups from the hospital that i sipped out of.
I find I did better with a straw but this is generally frowned upon.
I had little Pampered chef prep bowls that i put my food into

popsicles were great...i came home very dehydrated and practically lived on them.
