My 1st NSV

It has been 12 weeks since my surgery and I have been doing great.  I have to admit there are some days when I get a bit down because I just don't enjoy eating as much as I used to.  I have lost about 50 lbs so I am happy.  50lbs more to go!
But...yesterday I was in Old Navy with my sister and they had some great sales on.  They had some really cute spring jackets on sale for $12.00 and I grabbed a hanger which was marked as a 2X.  I tried on the coat and it fit perfectly.  As I was taking it off, I noticed the tag in the jacket said XL!!  I couldn't believe it.  I almost started crying.  I though that maybe it was mismarked so I grabbed a very cute jean jacket in XL and tried it on.  It fit as well!  I was astounded.  I walked out of the store with both!  I had to force myself to leave the store or I would have bought much more.  I am SO excited.  This surgery has opened up a whole new world for me and I couldn't be more thankful!

 That is so awesome!
I don't fit anything in old navy except the occasional mens xxl stuff.
Also, 50lbs in 12 weeks?! That seems to be above the norm, great job!!

Oh Giselle! That is so wonderful to hear.  Thank you for sharing your story.  I dream of that day and I know it will happen some day where I can go into a "regular" clothing store and buy something that isn't plus sized.

As everyone knows, being overweight it can be hard to buy clothes and you rarely see great deals like $12.00 for a jacket.  The cheapest I ever bought a piece of clothing was about $29 because of my clothing size. I can't wait to buy inexpensive, yet nice clothing.

You must be so proud of yourself.  I am proud for you.  Congratulations!

Congrats girl and I'm smiling cause I know exactly how you feel. It's amazing to feel like your "normal". Cheers to more NSV.

Kee.
