RNY advice needed.

Hello everyone,
 I live in Fort McMurray and am wanting to get the gastric bypass rny procedure done but have no idea where to start... any advice would be awesome. Thank you.

Hi! I think you have to start with your Doctor. You have to get referred to either the weight wise program  in Edmonton, or the Red Deer bariatric program. (Dr. Farries) . I know there is also a surgeon in Medicine Hat. And some in Calgary.
Then you usually have to go through different appts, classes, physical tests etc.
Its a lot a work but well worth it. I haven't had surgery yet, but hope to in about a year.

Weight wise program is probably the closest to you.
Of course there are some that go out of country to get it done. But I would do alot of research on that. And I personally would NOT recommend that. This is major surgery and you need a good support system, aftercare, and preparation.
