 hello again :-)
So I'm back to get some more help.  I am starting to get a little gaggy from my protein drinks, and I have several to choose from.  I have been reading on here that people like the protein drinks that are like juice so I decided to go out and buy some. I bought Breezer in ice tea flavor and it was soooo gross!  Just the smell alone turned me off.  I heard some good things about Nectar in fuzzy peach but I don't want to go out and pat $50 bucks for another bin in case I don't like it.
Does anyone know where I can get some samples of this type of stuff in Canada?

Hi there -
I used Isopure clear fruit flavoured protein after surgery because I couldn't tolerate anything creamy.

Then I used some chocolate and vanilla soy protein from Planet Organic. I mixed it with frozen bananas and greek yogurt to up the protein.

Now I'm into Muscle Milk drink boxes that I get from London Drugs. I hate breakfast so start with this.

If you've just had surgery, your tastes are going to be really off for a while. I now like the taste of things I couldn't stand at the beginning.

Maybe try watering it down, or adding a natural flavour: vanilla, mint extract, nutmeg to a vanilla protein powder until you are able to tolerate it better.

Good luck!

I know at GNC they will give you samples of their protein so you don't have to buy the big container of it, not like it and then be stuck with it.  If your local GNC doesn't give out samples, they have a good return policy and will allow you to return the container even if you've opened it and tried it.

I tried a bunch of different protein drinks and didn't end up liking any of them so I don't even bother anymore.  If I so choose, I will use the Liberte Greek yogurt (higher in protein than normal greek yogurt, I get it at Sobeys) and put it in a smoothie with some frozen fruit and have a delicious snack or meal that way.  It's also a good way to get in my fruit because I still find it difficult to just eat fruit because it fills me up so much.

Hope that helps.

hi there, i have ordered a sample pkg of all 13 flavors of syntrax nectar from a place called netrition.com i live in manitoba and if you order it ru**** arrives in 3 days. i ordered mine rush just so it can be tracked, as i am a little distrusting of the postal service... lol. word of caution though, because it comes from the states there is a duty fee to be paid upon delivery. i oredered 3 2lb jars of "about time" protein powder the order was $120 ish, and duty was $22. just as an added fyi, the "about time" protein powder is made with stevia instead of an artifical sweetener. im very anti-aspartame, so i was very excited when i heard about this product. here in winnipeg, we have a couple of popeyes supplements stores, i know they have an area at the front of the store where they sample about 80% of their products. not sure if you have a popeyes in your area.
best of luck

herbal life has some good products. it is sold independantly. i use their drink and protein powder. this with a glass of milk i think is about 30grams or so. i also buy the protein drink from costco if they have it. i beleive what that yukky taste is, its whey. as long as i avoid any products with that in them, they seem to be fine. drinks are also easier dilute with extra milk
