So.. I needed some new pants.  I had kept alot of clothes from the last time I had lost 100lbs! down to 18's and the occasional 16.

Now, my girls keep commenting on my clothes being to large, I agree.  So I went to penningtons in Lethbridge yesterday and picked up a  pair of casual and a pair of dress pants.... size 14!! You would think i would be thrilled... and part of me is .. I also felt..sad? no, unsure? perhaps... where will I shop? It's there smallest size.  I shop, Penningtons, Addition Elle, Cotton Ginny (gone).. where now? I text my mom and she says LOL anywhere you want!! I said that's not true regular clothes don't fit right! Plus clothes have more room in the butt and thighs and I know my sizes and fits!!

Well, there are worse problems.. I will figure it out... clothes shopping in a mall... wow!! :)

I went through the exact same thing!  I actually had a panic attack thinking about where I was going to buy underwear if I couldn't get it from Addition Elle!  It may be difficult but you will figure out what stores have things that fit you well.

I find that Reitmans has some decent clothes and they have a plus size section and a regular size section so if the plus sizes are too big you can just wander over to a different part of the store.

When I was losing a lot I did a lot of my shopping at Value Village, I got some pretty great things for not much and that made me happy.

yes, i too have bought alot of clothes at second hand stores, found some really nice hand made sweaters too. if i do buy new things, i found marks a good place to shop. they have lots of stretchy pants and this way you can buy them smaller and they can fit a little longer.

This is an awesome post. I remember feeling lost as to where I could shop and once I realized there wasn't a store I couldn't shop in now I felt amazing and excited. I actually cried in a dressing room at Areopostales cause there clothing fit awesome.
It's just another part of our journey and once you start wondering the new stores you'll love it.

Kee i think i do remember you posting about a breakdown in walmart cause nothing fit right and you went home with nothing,,
I love the aero story :) that would be awesome, when i even walk in those stores for my daughter, i feel soooo out of my league. I wonder if they are thinking "theres nothing here to fit her" they probably are not, but our heads are a little different!
I don't want the frustration of nothing fitting in any of the stores yet so i will have to wait another 20lbs maybe :) i'm 204 now (for the past month) so maybe a few months I can check some new stores out....scary. eek

That was so me. I find that I have always been an emotional person but since surgery it's worst. I tend to cry over everything now. I guess with all the scale nd non scale victorys it's good tears. This snew journey has been a wonderful one but also an unknown one. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
