Info Please?
I am a 25 year old female in Edmonton, Alberta... and currently weighing 335 lbs. I'm 6'2" so it's not as bad as it could be, but I'm not still healthy and it shows both physically and mentally.
My question is, what could I expect from Bariatric surgery? What kind of things should I know for afterward? I know you need to be on vitamins forever after, but what else?
How long is the recovery period, generally?
And has anyone here gone through bariatric surgery with the WeightWise Program in Edmonton? Do they do it laproscopic or open surgery?
So many questions, I know LOL, but I just can't seem to lose weight on my own and this is becoming more and more a real possibility.
Thank you to anyone who answers for your help, info, and advice.

You need to be a bit more specific on which surgery you are looking at. Each has it's own pros/cons/recovery etc.
You will find that most of us from Edmonton have gone through Weight Wise. They do their surgeries laproscopically unless there is some special reason that they can't.
The people at the clinic are great and the program is fantastic. If you are really committed to the program you will have success.
