Post surgery appt. with Dr. Karmali

I am about 3 1/2 weeks post surgery and getting to know my sleeve! It likes eggs and chicken but not beef. Have tried a little bit of fresh fruit and salad but find them a bit harsh. Ice cream goes down really easy so am avoiding keeping it in the house.

I can manage about 8 cps of water a day so need to work on uping my fluids. My exercise goal is 8-10 min. on the treadmill a day but am a bit slack in actually doing this.  I know I need to exercise to achieve a good weight loss with VSG but am having trouble getting motivated. I maybe need to find another form of exercise that I like better than the treadmill.

Anyway, saw Dr. Karmali for the first time today since surgery and he was happy with my progress. I have lost 22.5 lbs. since I came home from the hospital. I know about 5 lbs of that was water weight gained from the IV fluids but still not a bad loss. No trouble at all with vomiting or reflux so must be doing something right. Getting all the meds, vitamins and supplements in is difficult.

How is everyone else progressing? Any exercise suggestions for an overweight middle aged gal with bad knees?

How about aquacise? It's low impact for your knees and you can work out at your own level. It is what I did at my highest weight and still do today.
