Question about full fluid diet
I am 5 days post-op and on a full fluid diet. My goal is 66-74 gm protein and 9-12 cps liquids. The last few days I have averaged 35-40 gm protein and about 7 cps liquids. Can I count SF jello and popsicles in the liquid count and if so how much is in each? Trying hard to get the counts up by drinking milk instead of water but really don't like milk much. Also real tired already of cream of wheat and cream soups. Any suggestions on what I can have that has a good protein content besides these? I had VSG surgery last tuesday.
I know you guys will have some great ideas! Thanks.

FIrst of all, welcome to the losers bench and I hope you are feeling well.
LOL I was gagging as I was reading your message. The thought of cream of wheat, popsicles, cream soups and SF jellos etc is apparently still haunting me. I am certain that I have not had any of those since my full fluid days!
What kind of protien shakes are you drinking? Costco has Premier protien shakes that are 30g of protien each. I still have them in the mornings as my tummy does not do well with breakfast. I am not sure how much liquid the popsicles and jello count as but I do know that at the full fluid stage it ALL counts.
Good luck with your journey!

I haven't had my VSG yet but have compiled a book of "Full fluid" and "soft" ideas from following the forum. Try adding skim milk powder to soups, smooth yogurts, and puddings and custards to increase your protein. you can try beef/chicken broth, herbal teas and coffee (AS LONG AS THEY ARAE DECAF!!) water, (with crystal lite) watery oatmeal but make it with milk instead of water, (I add mapleor vanilla extract to change the flavor). There are also apparently sugar-free (not sure of the carb count) syrups out there. Greek yogurt is high in protien as well. I hope this helps. There are all sorts of websites with suggestions if you have access to a computer. Lots of different protein shake ideas on them bu****ch the total calories ,carb count, sugar, fat etc..... print them off and take them to your NUT if you're not sure and he/she can addapt them for you.......Good Luck!!!
