I noticed we are close to the same schedule! I have both the psych and gastroscopy in September and see the surgeon for approval at the beginning of October. 

My diet was changed and it's going to be a tough 2 months (well month and a half****il that appointment but I am excited!!

That is great! Which doctor are you seeing? I am glad I am through those things, but still unsure. The psyc eval was short & no big deal. The gastroscopy was also fine, I was not out of it enough, so I remember the whole thing. It was quick though. Very odd! My big issues are distance and time before surgery, but also, these surgeons create a bigger sleeve and specifically my surgeon is still quite new. I am very glad our health care covers it, but still nervous. If you are seeing the same Dr as me, I will pm you if I cancel my appointment so you can try to get in on that cancellation. Are you in Red Deer, or was it High River? Sorry, I might be confusing you with another, I cannot see your screen name as I type this on my phone.

 I am in Red Deer. I am not seeing one of the new doctors, but instead seeing Dr. Farries. 

I have heard a few times that the psych and gastroscopy are not that big of a deal. I hope the same is true for me! 

I too had concerns about the new surgeons (turns out I'm not with one) and was assured that they are very compitent and have had lots of training, and are just fine. They would not put you at an increased risk knowingly. You are just fine and I would NOT cancel the appointment, look how far you have come!
