My surgery was on Wednesday, July 27th in Red Deer AB.  Dr. Lawrence Farries is my surgeon.  He  was very pleased with how surgery went.

The first day was a bit of a blur, but started to get better on the second day.  I did have some nausea, but that only lasted a short time.  I have had hardly any gas pains and my incisions have not really botherd me.  All in all a pretty positive experience.  I am a big wimp too when it comes to pain, I would tell you if I was in a tremendous amount of pain, but I wasn't.

It is a strange feeling to finally have the surgery over with.  After all that time, planning, waiting, dreaming, preparing, it is now done.  I guess the real work now begins.

Now on to the next chapter of my life.  Yippee!!!

Thanks everyone.

When I got home, I was pretty uncomfortable due to all the IV fluids I had in my system.  I also needed to have a BM and that took it sweet time coming.  I am happy to say I have gotten rid of all the extra fluids and I have had my first post op BM and I have lost an additional 4 pounds since returning home.

Things are going quite smoothly here.

Thanks again for all the support.

I am feeling pretty good.

My surgeon wants me on clear fluids for 2 weeks.  So my intake is pretty nil.  Sucks!!!

The energy thing comes and goes.  So sometimes I take a nap in the middle of the day sometimes I don't have to.

Thanks I think I am doing pretty well considering.
