Does anyone know the approx. Cost to have a tummy tuck done at the same time as the pannectomy? Thanks

Pannectomy removes any skin and fat below naval, it doesn't remove or tighten the skin above the naval.

I would be interested to know this as well.  Don't you figure though that when the skin below the naval gets removed, the skin above will be pulled down?  Doesn't help the sides but wouldn't it get rid of any hangy skin directly above?  Curious?

It will abit, but i figure if i've done all this i want to have a flat tummy, so i want all the skin removed, and the pics i've seen they look good after, but still have alittle flab and tummy not flat.  It's all comes down to a personal choice, and i want to be able to wear that bikini at least once in my life, and the scars don't bother me at all.

Who is doing your panni?
I saw my plastic surgeon last week for my panni consiltation...and I am getting an abddominalplasty (which is a tummy tuck) and it is completely covered....
He is cutting out my belly button, repositioning it and pulling down all the skin and removing the rest...
My scar will go hip to hip along my bikini line...
He said I will not have any "dog ears"...
I am excited....
(btw befor I saw thus surgeon I was under the same impression as you that it was only a piece of skin removed and that they would not move the belly button or skin above...he corrected me on this...)

Good luck!

That's excellent news!!! My RYN surgeon was Dr. Nohr and i have since heard he does his own panni's.  I sure hope he will do the same as your doctor is doing!  When's your Panni scheduled for? Thanks for the info, ir is greatly appreciated and makes me feel abit better about this.

Jen,

Did you see Dr. Toy or someone else?

I was sure that some of the EBSG ladies had told me that they had to pay for their tummy tuck to be covered.  IT would be GREAT if they've changed this!

BTW - you, LOOK MARVELLOUS!  Great work :)

I saw Toy....
If you want anythig above the panni you have to pay...
I'm having a hysterectomy at the same time, not sure it this weighs in on what becomes covered.
He kept calling it a panni, but the photos said abdominalplasty (which I'm 99% sure is a "tummy tuck") and he showed me on my body what he would be doing.
I spoke with my gyne today, she is doing the surgery with Toy and so far the potential date is July 5, 2011....
I'm stoked about this!!!!!
I asked Toy before I left if it wa all covered, he said YUP! All you have left there is skin....
Oh and a pubic lift is covered as well

ps....thanks for the compliment....I'm now 151 and need to put up some new pics!

This is amazing news!

I'm so glad your covered (maybe work benefits help as well?) I have no idea.  I"m still a far cry from being referred to Dr. Toy.  Although I'm at 99lbs lost now (sum: pre plus post surgery).   Still hoping to lose another 50 in the next year to get to my 'mental' goal.

Congratulations on 151!  SUPERB!

Yes please do post new pictures of yourself.  I remember watching your videos when you were posting before/after surgery etc.  It was so helpful and you were so open.  It was great.  You've been an inspiration and encouragement to stay strong and keep going!

I think I need to google about the pubic lift.  I'm not sure what all that is about, but I'm sure it's all information I'm going to need.  I'm surprised at how much of my body is drooping.  Seriously.

Good luck with your upcoming surgeries!  You'll be awesome!
