What do you do for your daily activity?

Your work outs?

What are you enjoying?  Have you tried anything new that surprised you?  An old standard that you adore?

What did you do in the winter/inside routines?

What do you enjoy doing outside?

I'm curious what is working for you and showing you good results!

I recently started bike riding again .. so I bike about 2 hours a night 5 days a week and go to aquafit the other two evenings. I also try to get 30 minutes on the treadmill in every day but I hate it so I find myself skipping that too often.

I didnt think I would enjoy bike riding as much as I do, but its so relaxing in a way and a good lower body and cardio workout.

Id love to know what kind of weight training routines people have tried?

Awesome Tina, thanks for sharing!

I think I need to get out and just walk more.  I don't generally walk unless I've somewhere to 'go'/with a purpose.

Biking is good, I have a GREAT bike and it is dusty in the garage...so maybe I'll give that a try soon too.  (I detest sharing the road bike vs. car gets a little iffy here).

WEight training I'm not currently doing, but I remember about 10 years ago I tried a very serious routine called "Body for Life" and I always felt good.  Basically doing sets on every machine (one set of 12, 10, 8, 6, 8, 10, 12) Each set you up the weight...and at 6 reps you're at the highest weight, then decrease when you go back up to 8, 10, 12.   Upper body was done one day, lower body and abs the next.

I've thought about pilates....does anyone here do pilates?

Hi Dreena!!  I miss talking to you! Are we ever going to have that coffee date?

So to answer your questions....

Daily activity varies on the day.  Mondays are really my day "off"  I don't do much planned physical activity.  I may do some yard work or something but I don't "plan" anything in the way of exercise.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I go to the gym.  What I do there varies on my mood but it usually has at least 30 minutes of cardio plus weights.  I'm usually there for at least 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

Fridays - if I don't have Darion, I go to the gym.  If I have Darion I just do some running around with him.

Saturdays - Same thing.  If I have Darion from Friday to Saturday, we usually go swimming or in the summer we'll go to the St. Albert farmers market and walk around there for a few hours.

Sunday - I have my trainer at the gym. So I'm back at the gym for about an hour to an hour and a half.

I also have started biking to the gym and to other places.  So that adds to my workout.  Because it has been so windy for the past week, I haven't been biking but hopefully I'll go back on the bike tonight to head to the gym for my workout.

I also am trying to go for walks with the EBSG gang and run the Royal Glenora stairs....

I also decided to train for something - but I just don't want to post on here what it is quite yet but that will also add to my workouts.

I enjoy running - if you asked me that a year ago, my response would of been "running? HELL NO!" and biking. oh and hooping....I really need to get back into that.

Questions? You know where to find me.

well I just kinda started my work out routine as I am now 4months postop and finally starting to have more energy these days. I walk/jog for 45min in the morning around the man made lake by our house with my big dog. and do another 45min the evening on the tredmill( too many mosquitos!! outside). then I run around the dog park for an hour with my akita who never comes when she is called but we have fun anyways..lol on top of the usual house chores and I walk to work when I can its about a 20min walk for me. I also do stretching and sit up in the evening before bed. I fit what ever I can into my busy crazy life..cause everybit helps!!!
