first day back at work

AND i am exhausted..... it was a crazy busy night and i havent worked that hard in 6 weeks lol. It was tough, so glad its over until tomorrows shift!!!

How do/did you guys deal with coworkers asking "how much weight have you lost?" Cant say that part was very exciting today..... i hate being center of attention and i was........eeek!!!

I answered in a round about figure....oh about 50lbs or so. That type of thing. I am almost 10 months out and I still have a hard time answering that question but I try to be honest.

I am proud of my loss so I am hoest.  What I hate is when they scrutinize my body as if they are looking to see the pounds melt away, or to see the imperfections of my body

A lot of the times they see the patients come and go but do not get to see the results of it working. I don't think they are scrutinizing you as much as trying to cheer you on and make you feel good. I would be honest but I would round it too. Instead of saying 123lbs I would say about 120lbs. You have done great, if they ask you should have no shame in being proud and answering!

I did answer honestly...... i just didnt enjoy it lol. I do believe that they are excited and happy for me i just didnt expect EVERYONE to ask!! Or to ask so publicly.
I dunno, maybe its just me, but i would never ask anyone how much weight they have lost..... maybe thats because i have been sensitive to weight issues my whole life???
I answered with weight loss since started program or since surgery and then usually gave them both numbers!!

I was exhausted the first day back too. Came home and completely crashed. I did 1/2 days for the rest of the week to help myself recuperate and rest more. I start full days again next week.

I'm not ready to answer any weight loss questions. I figure that my co-workers saw me right after surgery and see me everyday... hopefully they won't notice for awhile. lol
