I am in Alberta helping my daughter with my grandchildren as my daughter having a difficult time with morning sickness.

My question is:
"How do you cook rice in Alberta?" The way I do it in Ontario makes the rice still crisp, I think it has to do with the higher altitude. What is your ratio of water to rice and your time?

Thanks

I cook white rice. 1:2 ratio. if I cook 2 cups of rice, I add 4 cups of water.  Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat, cook for 20 minutes. I cook it on very low. Fluff after the 20 minutes with a fork, sometimes I let it sit covered for another 5 minutes if it looks runny.
