Tax Question??

Quick question. I went to the US for surgery, but apparently I can submit my receipt
for surgery for either 12 or 1600$ tax deductible? Anyone know anything about this?
I could sure that tax refund if that's the case :)

I'm not sure of the tax part but you could call revenue Canada about it at their 1-800 number. Also I've read on this site before that if you go out of the country Alberta Health will still cover some of the cost so you might want to look into it.
