Dreena, Kee and Adrianna shout out

Ladies and I think some gents.  I just wanted to say that I have been creeping on the site for a while now.  I've come and gone a few times. To Dreena, Kee, and Adrianna (I'm sure there are many more of you) thank you for being such good information sources.  I believe I saw 2 of you at the clinic over the past few months while I was there but didn't really have the courage to say much.  I am so not that shy person but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to ask you if you were the ones...lol  Anyways, as I get closer to a date I hope to continue to use this site and to find support here and to be a support where I can. Weight Wise has been a real blessing and I am not only proud of what I've accomplished since December (nearly 50lbs lost), I can't wait to see my life post surgery.

You are more than welcome!! If you ever see me in the clinic, feel free to stop me. I do tend to come in randomly and weigh myself and usually say hi to the front desk and then leave again. But on Friday, April 1 (the scale better not be playing tricks) I will be there in the morning for some appointments.

I am not shy about my journey or my surgery...so if you see me please stop me!! I would love that!

And if you see me at the clinic, please do say hello!  I'd LOVE to meet you.  I'm tallish, metallic red glasses, short hair (pretty much how I look in my photo :)  (brown ski jacket if it happens to be chilly outside)

My next appt at the clinic is May 17 in the morning :)

  Yes I live in Edmonton.  I will keep my eyes out for you all at the clinic.  I am not back in the clini****il the 15th of April.  

HA HA....I think it is so funny that they ** some of the letters in my post.  All I said was that I am not back at the "clinic" until.  Note the 4 letters that got starred and what they spelled...maybe I didn't put a space in between them...lol

Hi thre You are still waiting for a sugery date?  I am with Dr Karmili as well that scares me a bit, oct to now 6 months to hear anything?  I had the first preparing for class and am waiting to hear about my surgery date as well.  I too love this site I  have lots of fears resolved and questions answered.  thanks all. It's been tough waiting. I didn't feel like the time in the clinic took long at all... Get to your appointments, do the work, etc. But things sort of got messed up in January when my nurse left the clinic and so now I have been waiting and haven't had an appointment in the clinic since the first week of January.

I have had a call from my nut and from my new nurse, but haven't had an appointment and it's hard to keep focused or at least to not focus on the wait- cause the wait sucks.

But I have been at the top of the list for a bit now and am just waiting for the call. I'm not gaining and really that is all I can ask at this point.

I love the clinic for all the changes that have come my way in the last year, getting diagnosed and treated for ADHD was amazing for my ability to stick to anything.

I'm frustrated with the long wait but I know that while this surgery is life-saving until the medical world stops seeing us as no better than drug abusers who keep going back for another fix, we won't be considered emergent.

And there is my rant for this fantastic Monday afternoon! Welcome Shona. We are a good group here and with so many different stories, there will definitely be someone you relate to here.
